What does it take to sit during meditation? The following are the basic steps that I use when sitting during meditation and I hope they will help you become better at sitting during meditation.

When you are sitting during Zen meditation, your body and mind become one. Your entire being is absorbed in this state of being, so to speak. This can be quite disconcerting for some people, but once you have been in this state for a while, you will begin to feel more relaxed and at ease.

To sit correctly during meditation, you need to first sit with your knees bent and then place your hands at your hips. As your eyes begin to close and your thoughts begin to drift away, you can open your eyes and begin to focus on the sound of the ocean. This will help you to relax and to connect with your inner self.

Your awareness of yourself, however, will not be as centered as when you are meditating. In fact, you may find that you are not focusing on anything, just listening to the ocean and thinking about nothing at all. This is perfectly natural and there is no need to be concerned about it.

After you have been in this state for some time, you will want to practice the breathing exercises. You want to breathe in slowly through your nose until you have fully exhaled. You may need to practice these breathing exercises for up to ten minutes and this will help to strengthen your lungs. Once your lungs have become stronger, you will be able to hold your breath for longer periods of time.

Once you are able to practice and sit for several minutes without any interruption, you are ready to move on to zazen. Zazen is when you sit with the back straight. This position allows your eyes to focus and it will help to deepen the breathing process. I recommend that you practice this several times a day to deepen your relaxation and to improve your sense of calmness.

Once you have practiced for several minutes, you are now ready to start on the Zen exercises. There are some people who find that they can do these before they start their meditation sessions. These exercises can be done while you are sitting still, or they can be performed while you are moving your hands around the room or doing other simple exercises.

You can perform all of these exercises in a few minutes, or a bit longer if you are practicing while you are taken. It really depends on how relaxed you feel when performing them. and what level you are at.

Once you have practiced your Zen meditation for a while and feel at ease, you may want to consider buying a book or using an online guide to give yourself some guidance as you begin this process. By getting an understanding of how to sit during Zen meditation, you will be able to meditate much deeper and become more relaxed.
