 The practice of Vipassana meditation involves identifying and eliminating all negative thoughts and perceptions while you meditate. Vipassana meditation is an understanding that cuts through common perception to see all things as they really are: unsatisfactory, impermanent, and impersonal: all are impermanent because nothing lasts forever. Insight meditation slowly purges the mind of all types of emotional attachment, ultimately freeing it from them completely.

You need to take a moment to relax your eyes and mind, allowing the world and everything else to come and go. Vipassana meditation does not necessarily mean a return to the past, but a more aware and open-minded approach toward the present. Instead, you will be taught how to see all things from the perspective of the present moment.
